Andrew R Kleopfer is a Northwest Ohio director and educator.

He is a director who utilizes storytelling to foster connection and dialogue. His work balances craft with spontaneity, inclusion, and play, encouraging performers and audiences to uncover new meanings. He views the rehearsal room as a space for exploration, risk-taking, and ensemble building through the shared language of theatre. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Acting from the University of Toledo and is working on his Masters degree in Theatre & Dance education at Wayne State University in Detroit. He is the current Performing Arts Teacher at Whitmer High School’s Performing Arts Program in Toledo. He is the proud founder of “The Lords Of Drawing Theatre Company”.

I have over 10 years experience working in theatre as an actor, director, writer and teaching artist spanning from Toledo, to Chicago and parts of western Indiana! I own my own theatre company “The Lords Of Drawing”!

As a director, I see the stage through the eyes of an actor. Having spent over ten years performing, I understand how movement, space, and intention work together to create compelling performances. That perspective informs every blocking choice I make, helping actors feel confident, connected, and free to tell the story.

In addition to directing, I dabble in set design, costuming, crafting/building, and being a gigantic nerd.
